Freeing Dignity: Chapter 3

I was sweating so much in the officer's car. I was so hungry and thirsty, it was Midnight and the officer was still driving. "Hey! I'm hungry and thirsty!" I said hitting my head softly on the window. He lowered the window, letting all of the cool air into the back. "What was that?" said the officer. "I said I was hungry and-" I then realized that he had told me to mumble if I was hungry or thirsty. I tried my best to communicate with him "I'm hungry and thirsty." I mumbled. "Ah, of course you are." said the officer. He threw me a sandwich and a drink. "You can speak now." the officer had said. "How am I supposed to eat this?" I said. "Think of something," said the officer. I was getting pretty angry, I tried staying calm. I slowly lowered my body to eat the sandwich and drink. I knew I couldn't drink anything, but I could eat. I took a gigantic bite out of the sandwich. It was so good, I told the officer "Can we stop and get a drink at a water fountain?" "Sure, I need gas anyway, let's stop here." He let me out and I ran to a drinking fountain while he got gas. He saw me struggling to drink water, so he helped me drink it by pushing the button. I then felt some type of thick stick hit me in the leg. I fell to the ground with pain, "Time's up, Jono" said the officer. I was getting angry again, but I tried to remain calm. He helped me up and escorted me to the car. The trip was another four hours long       I then saw the one place I didn't want to be in. It was Banland, it looked so frightening from the outside. I was hoping it would be more pleasant on the inside. Waiting outside of the Banland gates were two guards holding machine guns ready to shoot anyone who tried to escape. My leg was still hurting me after the hard hit I took from the officer's baton. I was limping the entire walk into Banland. The officer who had gave me a ride then got back into his car, turned back, and left. I was then met with a new officer, who seemed nicer than the first. I was wrong. He escorted me to my cell, next to someone named "Dignity." I didn't know who this "Dignity" was, I had heard of his name, but I had never met him. I was pushed so hard into my cell that I fell to the ground, hard. I knew, this was going to be a long stay.
